Influencer causes a furor on Instagram for her wild hairstyle

Benny Harlem is not only one of the most successful hair influencers on Instagram, but he is also a Guinness record holder, for the highest fade cut in the world.
The California-based male model and artist rose to fame in 2016, when photos of her stunning afro hairstyle went viral on social media. The fact that his daughter Jaxyn (who obviously inherited his hair genes) also appeared in most of these photos, only made them more popular.
Harlem has always been a promoter of natural hairstyles, and has instilled the same kind of love in her daughter from a young age. To keep his regal curlers in top shape, Benny says he and Jaxyn only use natural shampoo they make at home, using natural ingredients.

“I see our hair as a plant. Most plants need natural ingredients to grow and stay alive, and honestly, our souls and our bodies need the same thing, "said Benny. "In my family, we make our own shampoo, just as we take the time to make our own meals."

In 2018, Benny Harlem was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records for having the world's highest tall fade hairstyle, which at the time measured a whopping 52 centimeters. This only fueled his online fame, pushing the number of Instagram followers to more than 500,000.

Unfortunately, in late 2018, Benny Harlem became a controversial figure after being accused of "defrauding" his followers, by selling ultra-expensive hair care kits that he allegedly bought much cheaper at various retail stores, and simply labeled the bottles. He reportedly charged $ 399 per kit, and justified the price by claiming that he was traveling to Africa to collect the ingredients himself.

Benny was never proven to have scammed his followers, but the scandal surrounding these allegations did not help his career as a hair influencer. In fact, he stopped updating his networks in 2018, and didn't post for a year. Since then he has been uploading photos very rarely. However, it still retains the same impressive hair.
